Mantua Advanced Academics (AA) Parent InformationA full-time Advanced Academics (AA) Center (previously known as the Gifted & Talented/GT Center) also finds a home at Mantua ES, serving selected, academically gifted students. In addition, an AA Resource Teacher works collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide extension activities for all students as well as modeling AA teaching strategies, which benefits all our classrooms. An Exciting Math CompetitionThe AA Center participates in an exciting National/Regional competition called Continental Mathematics League. Students in grade 3 will be participating in 3 meets, and students in grades 4-6 will participate in 5 meets. Team scores are determined by the top 6 individuals. Questions are written at an above-average reading comprehension. We will be participating in the Pythagorean division. Below is an example of a 5th grade meet.
