Volunteers are Currently Needed for:
School Spirit Displays Committee - We are looking for a group of parents to help put together the amazing school spirit displays that liven up the Mantua foyer each Back to School, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring! If you've been to the Thanksgiving Feast before, you've seen the incredible turkey with over 900 feathers stuffed into it, each created by a student with what he/she is thankful for written on it. If you would be interested in being on a committee to help with new school spirit displays, please email Teresa at teresalemair@aol.com. This doesn't commit you to helping each and every time, it just lets us know who to contact when we do need volunteers! (Added 11/16/09)Class Yearbook Representatives are still needed for most of the classes this year. If you are willing to collect and/or take 15-25 pictures of your child's class between now and end of December, please email Teresa at teresalemair@aol.com. Teresa contacts everyone with the parameters of what we need, so the job is very simple. (Added 11/16/09)
Recess Helpers - In order to ensure that every child at Mantua gets at least 30 minutes of recess each day, we are looking for parents who are willing to come in once a week (or once every other week) and walk 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes from the cafeteria to recess and watch over them until their teachers arrive. Recess Volunteers would need to be in the cafeteria by 11 AM and would be done by 12:30ish each day. If you can help, even if "just" once per month, please email Teresa at teresalemair@aol.com and let her know on which day of the week. She will be creating a calendar for volunteers. (Added 11/16/09)
